Rules of Discipline

School Discipline Guidelines at Meenakshi Ammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School

Every student is expected to adhere strictly to the following rules of discipline to maintain a harmonious and productive environment in the school:

    Punctuality

  • All students must arrive at school on time.
  • Latecomers are required to obtain written permission from the Principal before joining their classes.

    Uniform

  • Students must wear clean, neat, and properly maintained uniforms.
  • The school uniform must strictly conform to the pattern prescribed by the school.

    Medium of Communication

  • As an English Medium School, students are required to communicate in English to enhance proficiency in the language.

    Examinations

  • Pupils who miss an examination for any reason will not be allowed to take a re-examination.

    Responsibility for Belongings

  • Every student is responsible for the safe custody of their belongings.
  • The school will not be held accountable for any loss of personal items.

    Prohibition of Valuables

  • Gold ornaments and jewelry are not allowed in school.
  • Students should not bring large amounts of money to the school.

    Assembly and Bell Procedures

  • At the warning bell, all students must proceed promptly to the designated area.
  • At the second bell, silence must be observed. Absolute silence and order are to be maintained during assembly and while returning to classes.

    Phone Usage

  • Teachers and students will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
  • Mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the classroom as per court orders.

    Cleanliness and Property Care

  • The school building and premises must be kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Any damage to school property, whether intentional or accidental, must be reported to the authorities and adequately compensated.

    Acknowledgment of Communications

  • Parents must acknowledge progress reports, remarks in the school diary, and other communications within three days.

    Serious Misconduct

  • Immoral actions, grave insubordination, contempt for authority, or willful damage to property are grounds for immediate dismissal.

    Principal’s Authority

  • The Principal reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary action in all matters.

    Permission to Leave School Premises

  • Students must obtain permission from the Principal to leave school premises during school hours.
  • After obtaining permission, they must register their departure with the school security at the entrance.

    Authorized Pickup

  • No student will be allowed to leave the school unless a duly authorized person comes to pick them up.
