About the School
Our school was established in the academic year 1998–1999, initially offering classes from Standard I to IX. In the very next academic year (1999–2000), our first batch of Standard X students appeared for the public examinations. The institution was founded under the visionary leadership of our Managing Trustee, Mr. A.N. Radhakrishnan, who set out with the singular purpose of providing quality education to children in rural communities.
From its inception, the school has actively celebrated significant occasions such as Sports Day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s Day, and all national festivals, thereby creating a vibrant atmosphere that encourages holistic development and cultural awareness.

I am Dr. G. Ra. Gokul, M.B.B.S., M.D. (General Medicine), serving as the Managing Trustee of Meenakshi Ammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Our institution stands as a testament to the philanthropic spirit and visionary zeal of its founders, who believed in providing world-class education to every child. As a medical professional and an ardent advocate of holistic well-being, I place great emphasis on nurturing both the mind and body, ensuring our students grow into confident, responsible, and compassionate individuals.

I am honoured to address all the stakeholders as the Director of Meenakshi Group of Schools where efforts thrive forever. Knowledge pursues venture and efforts lead to success. Success conquers challenges. Thus, a golden door opens for the students.
There is hidden potential in every student. Each child takes one step forward in his learning day by day, thus fulfilling his role and carving his niche. Fruitful education moves the students towards a better future and that is our commitment.
I thank the parent community for the trust they have in us. Partnering with them is prestigious and imparts a sense of allegiance. My mission as the Director of Meenakshi Group of Schools is sculpturing each learning event such that it percolates to the students shaping their personality, adding to their knowledge and their ability to endeavour and strive.

I am R. Sekar, the Principal of Meenakshi Ammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and it is my privilege to head this institution where academic excellence, holistic development, and ethical values stand at the core of our vision. As an M.Com., M.Ed. graduate, I believe that education goes beyond imparting knowledge—it is about inspiring curiosity, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing creativity in every learner. Our dedicated faculty strives to create a supportive and engaging environment that balances academic achievement with the cultivation of discipline, integrity, and empathy. We also emphasize co-curricular activities—from the arts to sports—to ensure students become well-rounded individuals ready to face future challenges with confidence. Our consistent success in public examinations reflects the synergy of committed teachers, motivated students, and a supportive parent community. Even as we celebrate these achievements, we remain focused on character-building and leadership, guiding our young learners to become responsible citizens and compassionate leaders. Thiru. A. N. Radhakrishnan, the former managing trustee, played a crucial role in modernizing the school's infrastructure, contributing significantly to its growth and development.
Meenakshi Ammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School is part of the Meenakshi Ammal Trust, which also manages a wide array of educational institutions, including a Medical College, Dental College, Nursing College, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Colleges, an Engineering College, an Arts & Science College, a Teachers Training Institution, Polytechnic Colleges, an Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, and several Matriculation and CBSE schools.
MEENAKSHI AMMAL TRUST
Ever since the dawn of independence, leaders in our country have been laying stress on the importance of imparting quality education in the country, as good education alone will help people to rise in the various walks of life. Education involves investment of huge amounts running to several crores of rupees. In addition to allocation of funds for education, the Government have to pay attention to poverty alleviation measures. The Government alone may not be able to develop education exclusively in the public sector. Hence the development of educational facilities have also been permitted to be undertaken by Public Charitable Trusts and private organizations also.
Against the above background Meenakshi Ammal Trust was formed in the year 1983 as a Public Charitable and Educational Trust with its Registered office in Chennai 600 078. The following are the Hereditary Trustees of Meenakshi Ammal Trust: Late Smt.Meenakshi Ammal - Hereditary Trustee,Late Shri.A.N. Radhakrishnan,M.A., D.Com. - Hereditary Trustee, Mrs. Gomathy Ammal- Hereditary Trustee, Dr.G.Ra.Gokul - Hereditary Trustee and Managing Trustee. The Trust members do not have any political connections. They are not members of any political party. Further, they do not have any business dealing and they have no profit motive.
The Trust has been started with the sole object of establishing educational institutions. In fact the only aim is to spread knowledge and promote education in all fields, viz Polytechnic, Engineering and Technology, Architecture, Arts and Science, Schools, College of Education, Teacher Training Institute etc. Ever since the establishment of the Trust, the members of the Trust have been functioning with missionary zeal and dedication striving every nerve to spread education to all section of people, without any discrimination of religion, caste, community, region etc.
The Trust has established several educational institutions, namely Engineering Colleges, Polytechnic College, Industrial Training Institute, Arts and Science College, Matriculation Higher Secondary School, CBSE Schools, College of Education and a Teacher Training Institute. All the above institutions have been established from 1983 – 84 and the list of the institutions and the year of establishment are given below:-
